K-12 math and science campaign launched!

Partnership for Learning and Microsoft developed a series of 30- and 60-second Public Service Announcements, kicking off our math and science matter campaign. These videos feature real Washington students and adults from a wide range of professions talking about why math matters in work and life. The College & Work Ready Agenda has also developed a math and science brochure and printable flier for parents and educators. Over the course of the year, this campaign will also feature print ads, radio ads and other materials for schools, districts and community-based organizations. Check back with us soon for more on this campaign! In the meantime, we also encourage you to visit www.mathsciencesuccess.org, a related campaign led by our colleagues in Georgia.

Prosperity Partnership airs the need for more degrees in high-demand fields.

Prosperity Partnership has created print ads that highlight the disparity between the number of jobs in “high-demand” fields in Washington and the number of students graduating with degrees in these fields from our public university system. These ads clearly show the lost opportunity costs of not producing enough bachelor’s degrees in Washington, particularly in high-demand areas.
